The vegan collagen stimulates collagen synthesis and prevents collagen breakdown, working to boost the mRNA expression of genes that control collagen, leading to firmer skin. It also strengthens the skin barrier by fighting off environmental aggressors that weaken it, including pollution, hypoallergic, pathogens and irritants.

After 24 hours, the lotion containing 2.0% AC Vegetable Collagen PF decreased TEWL by 2.92% more effectively than the base lotion alone. After four weeks, the lotion containing 2.0% AC Vegetable Collagen PF demonstrated even more effective barrier protection, decreasing TEWL 4.43% better than the base lotion alone.
